After a 30-year hiatus, the Midwestern Championship International Wrestling federation (MCIW) announced today it will host its Return of the Legends match at the Tyndall Armory on May 1. A portion of the show’s proceeds will go to the Homeless Veterans and Families organization (HVAF).
What: Return of the Legends wrestling match
When: May 1, 2021
Where: Tyndall Armory
Why: To entertain fans and support the HVAF
“All of our wrestlers have a heart for the sport, but they also have a passion for giving back to the community,” said Larry Jones “Thar”, wrestler and event organizer. “Because we’ll be wrestling at the armory and many of our wrestlers are veterans, we chose to donate to a veteran organization that is helping a vulnerable population.”
The MCIW will be the first wrestling federation to host an event at the Tyndall Armory since 1991 when the late Dick the Bruiser wrestled for the last time. Popular wrestlers including, Dick the Bruiser Jr., Bobo Brazil Jr., Thar and many more will reunite for the show.
“We are thrilled to return to the armory for a family-friendly wrestling show for all ages,” said Jones. “We look forward to having some fun while also raising money for a great cause.”
