Trauma can come in many forms, from the unspeakable horrors of combat to sexual assault and rape. Former combat medic CSM Aaron Stone (USA, retired) has experienced both. Stone completed multiple tours in Iraq, Afghanistan and Bosnia, but none of those experiences affected him as much as the trauma he suffered at age 15 at the hands of a male teacher who raped him.

A silent sufferer of depression and PTSD for almost two decades, he finally realized he needed help. Telling his story has been an act of liberation.

Stone has spoken to numerous military organizations and universities, spreading his message of pain, redemption and hope. He reassures survivors that sexual assault is never their fault, they are never alone, and help is here. His goal is to be an inspiration for those who may be suffering through the same mental anguish as he once did.

Join us at 0900, 2 APR 24 in Minuteman Auditorium to hear his story as we shatter the silence on sexual assault. This training is not mandatory, but is highly encouraged for all FTUS, BN and higher staff and directorate-level supervisors, and for anyone who is interested in the subject matter for themselves or to help someone else who may be suffering.
