About this EventAdd to calendar
The agency vs. agency Lip-Sync Battle is returning this year for the State Employees' Community Campaign (SECC)--and due to last year's success we're going virtual again!
This year's competition will start at noon Wednesday, Sept. 22, and will feature up to eight teams from state agencies competing in a creative performance that can include dancing, nods to famous music videos, props, costumes, and all kinds of hilarious surprises!
No actual singing (or even dancing) talent is required, but that shouldn't stop you from putting on a show-stopping, unforgettable performance destined to be the stuff of lip-sync legend.
The Indiana State Personnel Department (INSPD) is now accepting team registrations! The entry fee is $20 per team. The winner of the competition will be determined by donations made to the host charity. The act with the most donations in their name will be declared the winner. All proceeds will be donated to the Indiana Dept. of Child Service's 501 (c) (3) charity of choice for SECC, Isaiah House 117.
The competition will be fun and fierce. You'll remember last year the Department of Financial Institutions won with a spot-on rendition of Pharrell Williams' "Happy." We need your team to challenge them! You can see all of last year's entries by clicking here.
REGISTER YOUR TEAM
You can register your team by emailing email@example.com.
Once your team is confirmed by INSPD Communications, your team will be provided with a link to a registration page where you will be able to submit your entry fee online.
Only one team per agency business unit can compete so choose your competitors wisely (that means separate field offices of the same agency can each have an entry). Please be aware of these competition guidelines.
Because this year's Lip-Sync Battle is once again completely virtual, there will be no spectators. The live stream link will be provided prior to the event, and is open to anyone who wants to watch and virtually cheer on the participants.
Shortly after the show ends, a video of the full event will be available on YouTube. There is no charge to watch the live stream, but viewers are encouraged to vote for their favorite performance either during the live event, or after watching the YouTube replay. Again, directions on how to vote/donate will be announced prior to the event.
If you have questions, email the Indiana State Personnel Department Communications Division at firstname.lastname@example.org.
