DESCRIPTION:STEUBEN COUNTY- (August 30\, 2024) – Secretary of State Diego
  Morales is continuing to visit several counties hand delivering local Ele
 ction Improvement Grants.  Thursday\, he stopped in Clinton County. Today\
 , Secretary Morales made stops in Steuben County\, DeKalb County\, and Nob
 le County. More stops are planned. \n\n \n\nSince the start of the year\, 
 Secretary Morales has delivered grant checks to more than 85 Indiana count
 ies for local election security\, safety\, and voter outreach projects. Th
 e counties are receiving grant dollars from the Federal Help America Vote 
 Act to go towards local election improvement and security efforts. This ne
 w round of statewide grants is valued at approximately $1 million.\n\n \n\
 nPrevious funding has been utilized for a wide variety of improvements suc
 h as voter outreach efforts\, additional signage\, security upgrades\, and
  more.  Many counties implemented election improvements for the Primary El
 ection.\n\n \n\n“We’re committed to equipping our local county clerks 
 with the tools and resources they need to run safe and secure elections. D
 elivering these election improvement grants ahead of Election Day is key t
 o furthering the safety of our elections. Through my office’s continued 
 partnership with our county clerks\, we can ensure that the election proce
 ss is handled with the utmost integrity\, which Hoosier voters expect and 
 deserve\,” said Diego Morales\, Indiana Secretary of State. Secretary Mo
 rales strongly encourages every eligible Hoosier to register to vote prior
  to the upcoming October 7th registration deadline and vote in the Novembe
 r 5th General Election.\n\n \n\nSecretary Morales visited with county cler
 ks and their teams in Clinton\, Steuben\, DeKalb\, and Noble Counties to t
 hank them and offer assistance for the upcoming General Election. \n\n \n\
