Secretary of State Diego Morales Encourages
Hoosiers to Get Out and Vote
INDIANAPOLIS (November 7, 2023) – Today is Election Day! Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales is reminding eligible Hoosiers to go to the polls and vote.
Since taking office, Secretary Morales has crisscrossed the state, making sure eligible Hoosiers are registered to vote and election officials are prepared. Increasing voter turnout and participation has been a major focus for Secretary Morales.
As the polls open, Secretary Morales will be making several stops around central Indiana to thank county clerks, poll workers, and voters.
“As Indiana’s Chief Election Officer, it’s important to me to ensure election officials are supported and Hoosier voters know our elections are secure. Municipal elections directly impact your cities and towns. Hoosiers, we need you to show up and vote!” said Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales.
As a reminder, Indiana requires voters to provide a photo ID on Election Day. Today, on Election Day polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Election Day is observed as a state holiday, however the Secretary of State’s Office, Election Division, and county election offices are staffed and assisting with the election process.
Also, if Hoosier voters have any election questions or concerns, they’re encouraged to text ‘IN’ to the number 45995. Submission will be sent directly to the Indiana Secretary of State’s Office. Election staff will promptly review questions or concerns and respond directly to the voter.
Hoosiers can always check their voting status, find polling locations, and see a sample ballot at the IndianaVoters.com website.
