INDIANAPOLIS (December 3, 2021) – Secretary of State Holli Sullivan has accepted Warrick County’s plan to become a vote center county.

“It’s exciting to have another county in Indiana bring vote centers to their community. Vote centers gives Hoosiers the convenience of being able to cast their ballot at any polling location in their county,” said Secretary Sullivan. “Thank you to Clerk Patricia Perry and the Warrick County Election Board for your hard work developing a plan that makes voting easier, more accessible and more secure for your residents.”

A vote center is a polling location where any eligible voter in the county may go to cast a ballot. Vote centers can reduce costs for counties, increase turnout, provide local election officials more flexibility and improve overall convenience for voters.

Warrick County will have 18 vote center locations across the county for voters to use on Election Day, starting during the 2022 Primary Election.

In Indiana, 53 counties use the vote center model. Click here to see the full list.
