The Midwest Rail Rangers, a partner of the Indiana Dunes State Park, will be presenting an on-board educational programs aboard the South Shore Line train today. Ride and learn about everything outside the window between Chicago and South Bend... including the Indiana Dunes State Park! The landscape gets a whole new perspective when seen from the historic South Shore Line route. Today's EASTBOUND program takes place on Train #503. It departs Chicago-Millennium Station at 8:40am CT... with a stop at Dune Park at 10:04am CT... and an arrival into South Bend-Airport Station at 12:10pm ET. Today's WESTBOUND program takes place on Train #506. It departs South Bend-Airport Station at 1:05pm ET... with a stop at Dune Park at 1:15pm CT... and an arrival into Chicago-Millennium Station at 2:39pm CT. Please note that the Rail Rangers' narration is only presented in one car of the train, where seating is provided on a first come, first serve basis. Look for the car that has yellow signs on the inside to find the Rail Rangers car (normally towards the middle of the train). Reservations are neither needed, nor accepted. A regular train ticket is needed to participate in this program and can be purchased from a South Shore Line ticket agent or vending machine. Select programs also feature Junior Rail Rangers programs and passport park stamps. For more information, contact the Midwest Rail Rangers at info@railrangers.org or consult www.railrangers.org.
