Friday, October 7th
7 pm - 8 pm Happy Trails to You – Join us at Poplar Grove Shelter for a make your own trail mix station.
8 pm Calls of the Wild – Have you ever wondered what creatures are calling in the nighttime woods? Explore the world of nocturnal animals and learn to identify them by their calls. Join us at Poplar Grove Shelter.
Saturday, October 8th
11 am Spooktacular Cornhole Tournament –
Register your team at the Whitewater Camp Store beginning Friday, October 8th. Your team must be registered and present by 10:45 am on Saturday, October 9th. The tournament will begin promptly at 11 am at the Poplar Grove Shelter. Please be checked in and ready to play by 10:45 am.
1:30 pm Costume Contest – Show off your wicked or whimsical costume during this fun event! Our contest is open to all ages. Bring your 4-legged friends too! Join us at the Campground Playground in Loop B.
4 pm – 6 pm Trick-or-Treating! – Our campground will be alive with Trick-or-treaters! Campers, please have your outside lights on so our ghosts and goblins will know to stop. *Roads through the campgrounds will be closed to motor vehicles during this time for children to trick-or-treat safely.
6 pm – 10 pm Campsite Judging – Campsite decorations will be voted on by YOU, our campers! Be sure to pick up your voting ballets from the Main Gatehouse. During this time campers will be walking around the campground to select our spookiest campsites! Each campsite will be given two ballets to cast their votes for their favorite campsite. Return your completed ballets to the Camp Store no later than 10:00 p.m. on Saturday. Free camping will be awarded to the top three campsites! Winners will be posted at our Camp Store on Sunday morning by 10:00 am.
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm Autumn Activities! – Join us at Poplar Grove Shelter for an hour of fall fun! We will have games, crafts, and more to share with you.
8 pm Owl Prowl - Whoooooo is calling in the woods at night? Meet at Poplar Grove Shelter to learn about some common nocturnal animals and then head out on a moderate ¾ mile hike in hopes of hearing some.
Sunday, October 9th
9:30 am Bird Banding! – Please join us for this special program with guest speaker Libby Keyes from Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary. Learn about bird banding and the purpose behind. This program comes with the opportunity to see wild birds up close and watch the banding process firsthand. Join us at Poplar Grove Shelter for this exciting program. We hope to see you there!
