Join us on Jan. 24 for a sunrise eagle watch. Please register in advance by calling the Upper Wabash Interpretive Center.

Meet at Mississinewa’s Miami SRA boat launch at 6:30 a.m. to caravan to a bald eagle roost to look for birds taking morning flight. Participants should dress for the weather and, if available, bring binoculars, cameras, and spotting scopes. Limited shared visual aids will be available.

Following the Sunrise Eagle Watch we invite you to Breakfast with the Birds! Breakfast will be served (freewill donation) at 8 a.m. at Mississinewa’s office in Miami SRA. Birds from Salamonie Raptor Center will be present. The breakfast is a fundraiser in support of Salamonie Lake’s Raptor Center and is hosted by Friends of Upper Wabash Interpretive Services.

Registration for Eagle Watch is required by calling 260-468-2127. Accessible parking is available at the roost, please make requests during registration.
