About this Event
The Indiana Supreme Court will host the Fall 2020 Bar Admission Ceremony on September 21 entirely by video-conference due to social distancing measures. The event will be divided into three sessions and will be live streamed on the court’s website.
Bar admittees will participate at the following times. (All times are Eastern.)
10 a.m. - last names starting with A-G 12 p.m. - last names starting with H-O 2 p.m. - last names starting with P-Z New lawyers traditionally introduce themselves to the state and federal court judges in attendance during the in-person ceremony. Instead, admittees will state their names and recite the oath virtually. They will also sign the oath electronically to acknowledge their obligations to the profession.
Over 300 admittees are eligible to take part in a remote ceremony and have received invitation details; if they have questions, they should contact Tina Hopson. For those who would like to watch a ceremony, visit the court’s website.
The Supreme Court’s Office of Admissions and Continuing Education certifies that admittees have fulfilled the requirements for admission. The Spring 2020 Bar Admission Ceremony was also held remotely on May 5.
