DESCRIPTION:The Judicial Nominating Commission named seven finalists for th
 e Court of Appeals of Indiana judicial position. The following lawyers and
  judges will be interviewed in person on July 1.\n\nWednesday\, July 1\, 2
 020\nAll times are ET and may change slightly throughout the day.\n10:00 a

 n\nThe interviews will be held in the Fuse East Conference Room on the sec
 ond floor of the South Tower at Capital Center (251 N. Illinois St.\, Indi
 anapolis\, IN 46204). To accommodate press and public viewing\, interviews
  will be live streamed. Due to social distancing\, there will be very limi
 ted in-person seating. Media interested in attending must contact Kathryn 
 Dolan to inquire about reserving a seat.\n\nAfter all interviews have conc
 luded\, the Commission will deliberate in a private executive session. The
  Commission considers applicants' legal education\, writings\, reputation 
 in the practice of law\, and other pertinent information. Following the ex
 ecutive session\, a public vote will be live streamed. Follow @incourts on
  Twitter for notice before the stream begins.\n\nMembers of the audience a
 re asked to refrain from activities that might distract from the interview
  process. The following guidelines are in place:\n\n    Only enter and exi
 t between interviews    Recording equipment will be set up between intervi
 ews (no mult box provided)    Artificial lighting shall not be used    Que
 stioning of the applicants is reserved for the Commission    Media/public 
 may interview the applicants before/after the Commission’s interview out
 side the interview room at the applicant’s discretionThe Commission will
  select the three most qualified candidates and submit those names to Gove
 rnor Eric Holcomb. The Governor has 60 days from receiving the list to sel
 ect Indiana's next Court of Appeals judge.\n\nThe vacancy is the result of
  the retirement of Judge John G. Baker. According to the Indiana Constitut
 ion and state statute\, the seven-member Judicial Nominating Commission mu
 st recruit and select candidates to fill vacancies on Indiana appellate co
