DESCRIPTION:The Bowens’ 2017 divorce agreement entitled Jackie to a porti
 on of Mark’s accrued pension benefit valued as of January 2017. In Octob
 er 2020\, Mark entered a deferred retirement option program (DROP)\, allow
 ing him to accumulate a pension benefit while still working. Upon retiring
  in September 2023\, Mark received a lump sum DROP payment. The Hamilton S
 uperior Court denied Jackie’s petition to hold Mark in contempt for fail
 ing to pay her a portion of the DROP payment. The Court of Appeals reverse
 d\, finding the agreement encompassed the DROP payment. Bowen v. Bowen\, 2
 62 N.E.3d 907 (Ind. Ct. App. 2025)\, trans. pending. Mark has petitioned t
 he Indiana Supreme Court to accept jurisdiction over the appeal.
