About this Event
Kimberly Anderson pleaded guilty by agreement to domestic battery and intimidation. Anderson agreed to waive the right to appeal any sentence imposed by the Marion Superior Court, so long as she was sentenced within the plea agreement’s terms. After sentencing, Anderson appealed, arguing her sentence was illegal because the court considered improper aggravators. The Court of Appeals dismissed Anderson’s appeal. Anderson v. State, No. 24A-CR-1358 (Ind. Ct. App. Dec. 9, 2024) (dismissal order). Anderson has petitioned the Indiana Supreme Court to assume jurisdiction over the appeal.
