DESCRIPTION:Ronald McBride sued numerous talcum powder sellers\, distributo
rs\, and manufacturers alleging asbestos in the talc-powder caused his mes
othelioma. The Marion Superior Court denied Missouri manufacturer PTI Unio
n’s and its affiliates’ motions to dismiss for lack of personal jurisd
iction because of PTI’s contractual relationship with an Indiana distrib
utor and the volume of talc-powder shipped to Indiana. The Court of Appeal
s reversed\, finding PTI and its affiliates did not do “something more
” than put the product into the stream of commerce. PTI Union\, LLC v. M
 cBride\, 261 N.E.3d 258 (Ind. Ct. App. 2025)\, vacated. The Indiana Suprem
e Court has granted transfer and accepted jurisdiction over the appeal.
