Walter Reece was severely injured in a vehicle accident. In addition to claims against other defendants, Judy Reece, individually and as Walter’s guardian, sued Tyson alleging that it negligently allowed grasses to grow on its property in a manner that obstructed the intersection and caused the accident. The Wayne Superior Court granted summary judgment for Tyson, concluding that Tyson had no duty to Reece. The Court of Appeals affirmed. Reece v. Tyson Fresh Meats, Inc., 153 N.E.3d 1193 (Ind. Ct. App. 2020), trans. pending. Reece has petitioned the Indiana Supreme Court to accept jurisdiction over the appeal.
