DESCRIPTION:Richard Allen is charged with two counts of murder. After the s
 pecial judge of the Carroll Circuit Court disqualified Allen’s attorneys
  and appointed new attorneys\, Allen filed an original action petition wit
 h the Indiana Supreme Court. Allen alleges the trial court exceeded its ju
 risdiction by disqualifying his attorneys over his objection. Allen has as
 ked the Indiana Supreme Court to issue a writ reinstating his previous att
 orneys\, setting trial within seventy days\, and appointing a new special 
 judge to hear the case. The respondent court and the Attorney General have
  filed responses opposing the request for writ\, and the Supreme Court is 
 hearing oral argument on the petition.\n\n--- \n\nPublic seating for this 
 argument is extremely limited. If you are interested in sitting in the Cou
 rtroom to listen to the argument\, you must request a ticket. Tickets will
  be available in person on the third floor of the north end of the State H
 ouse beginning at 7:45 a.m. (Eastern) on January 18\, 2024. Having a ticke
 t DOES NOT GUARANTEE you a seat in the Courtroom. Seating for the public w
 ill begin at about 10:50 a.m.\n\nClothing\, signs\, buttons\, or other obj
 ects designed to convey support for either side of the argument are prohib
 ited. Only the attorneys arguing the case are allowed to speak in court. A
 ny individuals causing a disruption will be removed and subject to contemp
 t of court charges. These decorum rules are in place to allow the attorney
