DESCRIPTION:This 3rd annual winter event offers a collaborative\, hands-on 
 approach to building skills\, forging connections\, and growing opportunity
  in Indianapolis. The day-long event is designed to support military vetera
 ns\, first responders\, and others exploring careers or deeper engagement i
 n agriculture. Morning sessions will include\n\npresentation-style topics s
 uch as USDA/NRCS resources for beginning farmers and strategies for gardeni
 ng in smallspaces. In the afternoon\, attendees can participate in hands-on
  workshops including grant planning and businessdevelopment\, food preserva
 tion techniques with a tasting component\, and regenerative farming practic
 es\, capped by a veteran panel that highlights lived experience in agricult
 ure. A vendor expo featuring products and services relevant toparticipants 
 will be available throughout the day. Thanks to USDA AgVet grant support\, 
 qualified veterans may register for just $20 per household. Standard regist
 ration is $120. Sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities are also available.
