Welcome the winter season by communing with nature!

We will greet the winter solstice sunrise with nature-themed readings around a campfire followed by a 2.5-mile hike along Deam Lake Loop. Participants are encouraged to bring their own secular and/or non-denominational readings! Meet at the Forest Education Center across from the Office.

Warm, seasonal beverages and light snacks will be provided. The hike will begin at 9:00am. Hikers are strongly encouraged to bring closed-toed hiking shoes and water. The hike is easy-to-moderate but includes some steep inclines. This event is weather-permitting.
