Join Indiana DNR for a women’s bass fishing workshop on Sat., June 13 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. ET at Munger Park in Lafayette, IN. Bass fishing is a great activity that doesn’t take much to get started and can help you put wild harvested food on the table and enjoy the outdoors in new ways!

This adult-oriented (16+) workshop for women will be led by a female instructor and cover basic bass biology, fishing tips, gear selection, safety, regulations, and even ways to take your harvest from field to fork (or from the pond to plate, that is)! The class will consist of a 30 to 45-minute lecture followed by hands-on activities to help solidify your bass fishing knowledge and practice skills you may use in the field. Participants can expect a small amount of walking (up to one mile). Clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting a little bit wet are recommended. If you plan on participating in the hands-on fishing activity, please ensure you have a valid Indiana fishing license for this event.

Please register to attend this free workshop. See you there!

DNR values access for all participants and will provide reasonable accommodation for this event. Please contact Eric Helton at [email protected] or 463-325-6226 to request an accommodation or discuss any questions and concerns. Requests must be submitted at least one week before the event.
