Clinton Prairie’s youth cheerleaders and football players have had the opportunity to experience the excitement of Friday night football this fall, connecting our youngest Gophers with Clinton Prairie’s varsity programs.

On Friday, August 28, Clinton Prairie youth cheerleaders joined the varsity cheerleaders during the varsity football game against Frankfort. In the week leading up to Youth Night, the young cheerleaders participated in practices where they learned cheers and routines in preparation for the game. On Friday night, they put that preparation into action, showing off their skills alongside the varsity cheerleaders in front of the home crowd.

The following week, Clinton Prairie’s youth football program took center stage. On Friday, September 4, youth football teams were recognized at halftime of the varsity football game against Clinton Central. Players had the opportunity to take the field and be recognized by the Clinton Prairie community.

Youth events like these provide more than a fun Friday night experience. They help build connections between Clinton Prairie’s youth and varsity programs while giving younger students an opportunity to see what it means to represent their school and community as a Gopher.

Clinton Prairie is proud of all of our young athletes and cheerleaders who participated, as well as the coaches, varsity student-athletes, families, and community members who helped make these opportunities possible.

For many of these young Gophers, Friday nights like these are just the beginning!
