About this Event
We will provide an online version of Youth Mental Health First Aid certification for military and veteran families, caretakers and those who work with children of veteran and military children. Youth Mental Health First Aid is on the same level of CPR and FIrst Aid and Safety on the Mental Wellness side of health awareness and care. Certification is through the National Council ofMental Well being in Washington, DC and only taught by nationally certified instructors. This course will identify signs and symptoms, risk factors and protective factors, and learn about the effects of trauma on youth and adolescent change. We also talk about the types of professional and non-professional help available that you could guide a young person to when necessary. Pre-registration is required, as well as a small amount of pre-work. Come join us on Zoom!
